The following fees policy shall apply to
users registering on or after 16th October 2019, as from
the date of registration. For users who registered prior
to 16th October 2019, the fees policy shall apply as from
31st October 2019.

on the website at http://www.Tradesmen.ie/getquote.asp.
Jobs posted by phone or sms message may incur a fee.
Registration and Monthly Subscription Fees
For service providers jobs are called 'Leads'. If you
are a service provider who wishes to buy Leads, you must
pay a registration fee of €53.72 + VAT plus a certain
value of Leads in advance and a monthly subscription fee thereafter
of €9 + VAT. This fee will be deducted from your balance on
the first day of each month or shortly after. This monthly subscription fee applies to all service providers
by default. Service providers who registered before January 1st 2013 can opt out of the monthly subscription
fee if they request it in writing at least 21 days before the next fee is due.
Our aim is to provide you with more leads per month than any other website.
Once you are paying the monthly fee, if there are not
at least 250 lead summaries each month that match the
trades and counties you have selected in your profile
we will refund you for each lead below 250 at the rate
of 2cent + VAT per lead. That means for example that if
there were 100 leads that matched your criteria in the
month you will be refunded (250-100) x €0.02 = 150 x €0.02 = €3 + VAT and if there
were no leads that matched your criteria in the month
you will be refunded (250-0) x €0.02 = 250 x €0.02 = €5 + VAT.
Refunds will be made on the last day
of the month or before the next monthly fee is due. Service providers paying the
monthly fee do not have to pay success fees and will receive other benefits
such as extended times for requesting lead refunds(see below).
We offer you the Leads by email which match the criteria
that you have entered in your profile. In addition to
this you can opt to receive lead notifications by text message
and there is a charge per text message for this.
Please note that Monthly subscription fees are not used to pay for leads. Lead fees are
deducted seperately as outlined below.
However, you can recoup up to €2+vat per month if you purchase at least €4 + vat worth of leads during the month, if you purchase the leads within 24 hours of the leads being posted on our website, and if you email us a list of leads you have purchased between the 7th and 14th day of the following month.
To view the leads that you purchased during the month, all you need to do is log into your account and on the welcome page click on the link that says, ‘Payments and Invoices’. On the next page, click the link at the top of the page that says, ‘To view a breakdown of individual transactions click here’. From there you can copy and paste the leads you have purchased and send them to us in an email with the subject, ‘Monthly Lead Credit’. Once we receive this email between the 7th and 14th day of the following month we will credit your account up to half the value of leads purchased or €2+vat, whichever is the lessor.
For example, if you are claiming back the ‘Monthly Lead Credit’ for the month of November, then you must email us with a list of leads purchased between the 7th and 14th of December. So in affect, this means that if you are buying €4 + vat worth of leads or more per month and you request the ‘Monthly Lead Credit’ as outlined above, then you can gain back €2 + vat to spend in the next month. Please note that there will be no credit issued for free leads or for leads already refunded for any other reason. Monthly Lead Credit requests received before the 7th day of the following month or after the 14th day of the following month will not be credited.
Fees for Leads
If you wish to buy the Lead you can send a text message
with the ID number of the Lead, a colon (:) and the price
that you wish to pay for the lead. If there are four service providers or less,
interested in a lead over an extended period, then the lead will
be sold on a first come first served basis. If it's a case
that there are more than four service providers requesting a lead
within the first fifteen minutes then the lead will go to
the four service providers with the highest bids. If you are one of the successful
applicants for the lead, then it will be sent
to you and the Lead price deducted from your balance.
Refunds for Leads
Service providers who registered before January 1st 2013
and who have opted out of the monthly fee can request a
refund for a lead under certain circumstances as long as
they request the refund within 24 hours of purchasing the lead.
Service providers who registered on
or after January 1st 2013
or who have not opted out of the monthly fee can also request a
refund for a lead up to 24 hours of purchasing the lead and
up to 7 days of purchasing the lead in some cases. A fair usage policy applies.
Lead Processing and Handling Fees
The lead price includes a processing fee of €1 + VAT.
If the lead price is less than €1 then the processing
fee will be equal to the lead price. The processing fee
is non-refundable in the case that the lead is refunded
for any reason. A handling fee of €1 + VAT is also applied in addition to
the lead price. The handling fee for each lead will be added at the
end of the relevant month or may be added after a number of months
for smaller numbers of leads purchased. However, where service providers are paying
the monthly subscription fee, no handling fee will be applied.
Text Message Fees
There is a fee per text message for lead notifications
that are received by text message. This fee per text message
only applies for categories or counties for which the
service provider has requested to receive lead notifications
and assuming you have requested to receive lead notifications
by text message. Text message fees are applied to your
account at the end of each week or sooner if the total
fees have reached €2 + VAT. If the total for text
message fees has not reached €2 + VAT in that week
it will roll on to the next week and so on. You must have
a balance of at least €5 on your account in order
to receive lead notifications by text message. You can
opt out of receiving lead notifications by text message
by logging into your account and clicking on the link
that says 'Edit Profile' and on this page you can untick
where it says 'I would like to receive priority notification
of leads by Text Message'. If you opt out of receiving
text messages at any time the balance of fees due for
text messages will be charged to your account at the end
of that week. There is no fee for receiving leads by email
and there is no fee for receiving text messages which
are not lead notifications. The fees that we charge you
per text message are outlined below:-

Payment Processing Fees
On payments received there will be a minimum fee of €3.50
or 3.50% of the value of the payment (whichever is greater).
For example if you want to deposit €30 into your account
it will cost €3.50 so €33.50 will be deducted from your
card or will be payable by cheque. If you wish to make
a payment of €150 the fee will be €150 x 3.50% = €5.25
so €155.25 will be deducted from your card or will be
payable by cheque.
Fees for References
It is free to request references by email. There is a
fee of €0.80 + VAT per request for requesting references
by text message.
For Service providers who registered before January 1st 2013
and have not opted out of the monthly fee, there is a small fee applied when a job has
been completed and feedback recorded, we call it the Success
Fee. At our discretion we may apply a discount to the
purchase of leads based on a number of criteria which
include but is not limited to (1) the amount of positive
feedback you have received on the website; (2) the value
of the jobs for which you have received positive feedback;
(3) your proximity in relation to the job.
Success fees do not apply to tradesmen who register on
or after 1st January 2013. Success fees only apply to
tradesmen who registered prior to January 2013 and who
have opted out of the monthly fee by giving at least 21 days notice in writing.
The Success fee is applied when the job is carried out
by the service provider and rated by the customer.
The success fee will be applied as outlined below for
the following job values:-
0-500 euro = 1.00%
501 euro - 2000 euro = 1.00%
2001 euro - 10,000 euro = 0.50%
10,001 euro - 100,000 euro = 0.10%
over 100,000 euro = Max €100

Withdrawing money from your account.
There is a processing fee of €5
for withdrawing money from your account. You cannot withdraw
money from accounts with a balance of €5 or less.
Accounts with a balance of €5 or less will be
closed without any refund if no leads have been purchased
for a period of 12 months.
Note: Stated tradesmen.ie fees exclude VAT@23% and this
is calculated at the Irish rate of VAT.
We may amend our Fees Policy at any time either by e-mail
or by posting the amended terms on the Site. Unless stated
elsewhere in this Fees Policy, all amended terms shall
become effective immediately once posted on the Site.
