Description: This might not be a typical request.I currently have an old Ideal boiler and a water cylinder in the hot press. I would like to replace this with a combi boiler.My requirements are specific though.As such, I would like proposals of actual equipment to suit my requirements.The heating system needs to integrate with my smart home as well as be able to work at least in a very basic mode without it. Meaning, I want full functionality when my smart home system is operational, but in case of failure of my smart home system for whatever reason, the heating should be able to fallback at least to a manual press button to turn heating on, press button to turn it off though smarter operation in the fallback mode is appreciated.The next requirement is for the system to be fully local - it should not be connected to the internet at all, only to my smart home system. Zigbee is preferred, but provided the system will work when blocked from accessing the internet WiFi could work, too.My smart home system is Home Assistant.The above are strict requirements, but the next one is more loose as I want better control of the heating and I have ideas on how to achieve that, but am interested in the result more than the solution - when the heating is on in the house currently, the first floor bedrooms are roasting by the time the ground floor gets to a comfortable temperature so I need more granular control. Whether this is achieve via two separate zones or via TRVs in each room is less important. My smart home does consist of many temperature sensors already so I already have a signal that could control TRVs or zones and in my Home Assistant I can build in the smarts myself to ensure temperature is at a point I want it in the rooms/zones I want it so the system itself does not need to handle this, just allow to change the temperature within a room/zone from my Home Assistant instance.Another goal is to be more efficient and save on heating costs, however I expect this to come more as a side effect of adjusting my heating as per above to suit my needs rather than it being a direct goal.The house has a ground floor, first floor and a converted attic, with 10 radiators across the whole house 4 on the ground floor, 4 on the first floor and 2 in the attic.The house has a main bath on the first floor, an ensuite on the first floor and a guest bathroom/half-bath on the ground floor.If it is not obvious from the other requirements, the system should be reliable. I am not specify a budget as much as this form allows me as the request is somewhat open-ended and because while it being cheap is obviously better, realibility is more important than price so, as long as it is worth the extra money that is ok. With that said, no matter what option, I do expect it to be far far less than the selected Less than 50,000 option, though depending on what option that maximum changes.Ive selected Ready to Hire and Within 3 months because if I get an option I like, with a quote I am happy with, I am happy to start this immediately, but am also not in a rush and if I dont find an option I like I am happy to wait another year or two and see if better options became available.For the labour vs labour & materials I am flexible, I can source materials myself if necessary or cant get a reasonable price on materials directly.
