Description: Detail and work required as per Damp Surveyor report on internal wall The plaster affected by water ingress has become hygroscopic. The salts present in the plaster will attract humidity and should be removed. Remove wall plaster to areas specified back to the structure. Re- render with sand/cement with water proofer and skimmed with multi-finish to surrounding levels. Alternatively, remove plaster back to the structure in bedroom 1 and the bathroom and prepare wall ready to receive membrane. Apply a membrane to the wall to act as a separation layer with membrane fixing plugs. Fix plaster board to membrane fixing plugs, to act as anchor points with plaster dabs. The plasterboard can be skimmed to surrounding levels.
